Guess I haven't done one of these for a couple of weeks...so here ya go.

So, I saw the doctor for my back and it's still fucked up. No surprise there. It was too inflamed and displaced to do scans, so I don't know if I did any more damage when I fell or not yet. Now I'm off of work for the next week and have physical therapy for the next six weeks to get things back in alignment. Then I get to go back and have scans and see if I need surgery.

I've been so limited in what I can do that I might end up having the surgery either way though. It would involve cutting up my back, inserting bone grafts, pins, screws, and lots and lots of pain (think Terminator, but more painful). Recovery time (if there is such a thing with this) will be two months for light-duty work and over a year before I can get back to normal activity. The alternative is that I continue as-is (not being able to do most anything) and risk getting seriously injured at some point (like falling down on the fucking ice), to the extent that they have to do the surgery anyways. While I would like to be proactive about this, in this case I'm not so sure. Obviously, this is something I'll have to do a lot of thinking on in the next few weeks.

Apparently, there is also a possibility that this is some kind of degenerative spinal condition. Not sure what that would mean, but sounds really fucking bad to me. The doctor didn't elaborate very much on that possibility, or how we would find out if it is, so I hope like hell that's not what it is...

Anywho, enough of my bitching...I tossed up a few more images this evening. Seeing that the colored works are getting faved a hell of a lot more than everything else, I will be working on colorizing some more stuff. Hopefully I'll have some new stuff up over the next few days.
